Got a question? We’re here to help.
  • Is the Hold Me Tight® workshop religiously based?

HMT is not an expressly religious program. However, the material affirms principles that most religions embrace, such as monogamy, fidelity, commitment and closeness.

  • Is the workshop only for couples?

Yes, only for couples in committed relationship. However, that includes all couples: engaged, married, cohabiting, gay or straight. No matter how long you've been together, this workshop can make a huge difference.

  • How can my partner and I best prepare for the workshop?

A Hold Me Tight workshop is based on the book "Hold Me Tight," by Dr. Sue Johnson, or "Created for Connection," also by Sue Johnson. Either of those books will certainly enhance your experience and make the materials and exercises more familiar and rewarding. However, reading these books beforehand is by no means mandatory.

  • Are hotels nearby?

For couples who need overnight accommodations, many options are close, both in Winter Park or nearby Orlando, with its own many attractions. Note that lodging is not included in the cost of the workshop.

  • What about meals during the workshop?

We will break for lunch both days and a variety of restaurants surround the workshop venue. Snacks, coffee and water will be provided. However, if you have specific dietary restrictions or preferences, feel free to bring any snacks you'd like.

  • What if I have to cancel?

The registration fee is non-refundable. However, if your plans change after you register and you cannot attend, the fee is fully transferable for any future workshop for up to one year..

  • What Do I Need to Attend the Online Workshop?

Hold Me Tight® only requires that you have a computer with a camera, microphone, speakers and a secure internet connection. We will present the workshop on the Zoom webinar platform. You will be able  both to see and hear the presenters and the other participants (although you can mute your microphone and pause your video if you need to). We hope that you and your partner will both be together in front of your computer and that you can limit interruptions and distractions as much as possible. Note that we will NOT be recording presentations for later viewing and request that participants not record either. If you have to sign off or miss part of the workshop, you will not be able to go back and view it later (just as in an in person workshop). We will provide a digital version of the Couples Workbook prior to the workshop. You may print it if you like, but please DO NOT reproduce it for anyone else.
